Supporting the Development of a HART Hub in Barrie.
Barrie Cares is proud to be a primary partner in the County of Simcoe’s application for a Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Barrie. We believe this initiative aligns with our mission to address the complex needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction, offering a pathway to recovery and stable housing.
2024 Simcoe County Homelessness Enumeration.
Barrie Cares partnered with Simcoe County on the 2024 Homelessness Enumeration, which utilized a Point-in-Time (PiT) Count methodology. This crucial initiative provided a snapshot of homelessness in our community, allowing us to gather essential data on the number of individuals experiencing homelessness, their demographics, and their specific needs.
The insights gained from the Homelessness Enumeration will be instrumental in informing our collective efforts to address homelessness. This data will guide resource allocation, program planning, and advocacy efforts.
